Andy from The Amateur Drammer (www.amateurdrammer.com) approached me sometime back in September and enquired if I was keen to participate in his brilliant Desert Island Drams series of posts.
I was delighted to be given the chance to be a part of this initiative and while it has been a bit of a wait, it was well worth it!
Thanks once again, Andy!
This weeks Desert Island Dram nomination comes from Brendan who writes the very enjoyable WhiskyMate blog.
Brendan is a whisky lover who seeks to travel to distant distilleries and further educate himself and others about the wonderful world of the Water of Life.
He startedhis Blog in January after an inspiring trip to Islay.
If I was stranded on a desert island and had to pick one whisky, I would choose the Glendronach 18 Years Old Allardice.
It is a phenomenal dram and it would allow me to remember, savour and be grateful for the good things in life and also give me the necessary determination to find my way off the island and hopefully back towards civilisation.
I have not yet tried The Glendronach 18, but if its anything like the Glendronach 15 that I tried earlier this year then its a great choice as a Desert Island Dram.
